-The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall have arrived in Accra to begin a five-day visit.
-They were met at the airport by the speaker of parliament, Prof. Mike Ocquaye.

British Royals, Prince Charles together with his wife Camila who is visiting Ghana for the first time have arrived in Ghana for a five day historic visit which is supposed to end on Tuesday, November 2018.
They were met by government officials with the Speaker of Parliament, Prof Mike Ocquaye spearheading the delegation.
The purpose of their visit is to strengthen diplomatic ties between Ghana and the United Kingdom and would highlight key themes within the Commonwealth of Nations.

The United Kingdom and Ghana have a long standing history dating as far back as pre-independence.
According to JoyNews reports, the couple were at the Jubilee House for a brief ceremony with President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
They would be touring several parts of Accra and Kumasi over the weekend into Monday before heading back to their home country on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
The British Royals would on Saturday visit the Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia palace and subsequently visit the Christianborg Castle which was once owned by the British.
Prince Charles would later meet with key players in the cocoa industry to discuss ways to sustain the country’s mostprofitable resources and local policymakers to discuss renovations and reuse of the historic landmark, as part of efforts to redevelop the Accra beach front.
Prince Charles would also meet with a number of British Ghanaians doing various businesses.
Meanwhile, the Duchess, who is President of the Women of the World Festival, would attend an event featuring Ghana’s top female leaders.
