The incomplete footbridges on that stretch has seen a lot of reportage but has been left unattended to.
Several deaths have been recorded on the road as pedestrians try to cross over from one side of the three road to the other.
He also revealed governments plan to kick start the completion of the bridges October 2018,but was impossible due to issues with the contractor.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported a handsome Ghanaian soldier who died one month to his wedding on this same road
The ‘fine brain’ soldier as he was described was knocked down by a driver who sped off without stopping to acknowledge what had happened.
This adds up to the countless number of persons who have lost their lives on that road as a result of the absence of foot bridges.
According to him the contractor was not approved for the work because the designs he submitted were not in tandem with the authority’s specifications
He gave the assurance that work would begin before the month ends saying, designs were ready awaiting the cost estimations from the contractor.
Meanwhile residents have promised to stage a demonstration next Monday as they could not contain the issue anymore
