Government officials trapped in a car after an accident

- A DCE and his Coordinator Director have been reportedly trapped in a car

- They were however freed by other road users and rushed to the hospital

- They have been treated and discharged, and the DCE has declined to comment on the matter

A District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Alhassan Yabdoo, and his Coordinator Director, narrowly escaped death after their vehicle was involved in an accident.

According to a report by, the DCE was travelling from Karaga to Tamale in the Northern Region, when the accident occurred.

The incident occurred on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at Yapalsi, near Pong Tamale on the Tamale – Bolgatanga road.

Other road users came to the rescue, and all three were freed and rushed to the Tamale Teaching Hospital.

They were consequently treated for minor injuries and discharged by the hospital.

Police officials have begun investigations into the matter, in order to establish the true cause of the accident.

Hon. Yabdoo has however declined to comment on the matter, except to say he is doing well.
