Ghanaian rapper, Kwes Arthur, has revealed how life was challenging for his family in the past.
According to the Tema-based rapper, he slept in a kiosk with his parents and siblings.
The ‘Grind Day’ hitmaker also disclosed that there were days he and his siblings including his father would have to wait for their mother to close business before they can sleep.
“We were sleeping in my mom’s shop in Tema Community 5. We waited till she closed the shop at night so we sleep, together with my dad. We later moved to Ashaiman, then to Sakumono before moving in with my Grandma at community 9,” he said on the Delay Show.
Kwesi also revealed when he was growing up his dream was to become lawyer.
The young rapper however, attributed his success in the music industry to God.
He stressed that without God’s favour he wouldn’t have been nominated for the 2018 BET Awards.
YEN.com.gh has previously reported a story of Kwesi Arthur saying there is no need for him to go for a University Degree after completing Senior High School.
According to him, his aim is focusing on his music career so he can move beyond the borders of Ghana and Africa.
