Ghanaians react to increase in 'pure water' price

Starting Monday, November 12, 2018, sachet water bags known in our local parlance as 'pure water' would see a 50% rise in price.

According to the National Director of Corporate Affairs, Kwame Agyapon Ntra explained the increment was due to the rising cost of production and distribution within the industry.

A bag of sachet water which is currently being sold at GHC3.50p, would be sold at GHC4.50p starting on Monday, November 12 from all trucks and water depots.

Ghanaians have taken to social media to register their displeasure with regard to the price hike.

Meanwhile others believe that it is a step in the right direction while others blamed everything on the leadership of the country and the very sorry state of the economy.
