Ghanaians on social media have reacted to President Akufo-Addo’s statement that the 2019 budget will bring a lot of hope to the public.
In a recent statement, the President said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) inherited a “mess” from the erstwhile John Mahama administration.
He, however, indicated that the 2019 budget would "reflect the hope Ghanaians have in the government and the future of the country".
According to him, though his administration inherited an ailing economy, systematically, it had succeeded, as economic indicators have shown, to put the country's economy back on the right path.
YEN.com.gh, therefore, put up a post to solicit the views of Ghanaians on the President’s comments on the 2019 budget and the responses were simply intriguing.
One guy wrote: “But de man is very intelligent. Deceived nurses with kalypo?. I'm a victim though.”
Another, rather harshly, said: “Politicians will enjoy richness for 4 years while we voter will enjoy one only one year to another election. Foolish leaders.”
A third person added: “Knowing 2020 is at the corner so you are coming to play with our intelligence. We have decided already.”
One other guy said: “He should post teacher trainings n stop campaigning ...... someone should remind him that,he is the president now,,,,,,may be he forgot his duties.”
