- Kweku Baako said Nyantakyi’s wife lied about her claims that they paid $100,000 to stop Anas’ video from being screened
- Baako has dared her to mention names of those who they paid the money to
- Kwesi Nyantakyi’s wife disclosed that the money was returned to them later after the video was broadcast
The editor-in-chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul-Malik Kweku Baako Jnr, has challenged the wife of former Ghana Football Association (GFA) president, Kwesi Nyantakyi, to name those she claimed they paid to stop the screening of Anas’ video on her husband.
According to Nyantakyi’s wife, Christine-Marie Nyantakyi, they were desperate to halt the screening of Anas’ ‘Number 12’ to the world, moving them to pay a bribe of $100,000.
However, Baako said she is a liar, if only she is claiming Anas or someone from his camp collected that money from him.
Telling the real story behind the $100,000 bribery claim, Baako said it is simply an attempt by the Nyantakyis to tell lies.
He has thus challenged Nyantakyi’s wife to mention names of those they paid that sum to.
“I know they can’t do that because it didn’t happen. Anas didn’t send anybody, anytime, anywhere to go and ask for any money from Kwesi Nyantakyi."
"It didn’t happen, never! [But ] they go around telling lies and you bring this beautiful lady to come to say those things on TV,” Kweku Baako said in a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Adomonline.com.
He reasoned that if indeed Anas or anyone from his camp collected money from Nyantakyi, this is the time for them to mention names, not to just speak into the air.
“The man [Anas] has given you a near fatal blow and you are down and you and your wife are protecting him, this is the time to deliver a counter blow. Say yes, Anas or so and so person close to Anas was sent by Anas to come and collect this money in order not to show. Come on, have the courage,” Kweku Baako dared Nyantakyi’s wife.
In an earlier report by YEN.com.gh, Christine-Marie Nyantakyi claimed that after the video was broadcast to the public, the bribe they paid was returned to them.
According to her, “the money was brought back in bits; $60,000, and then later $40,000”.
She revealed further that, those they offered the amount to requested for $150,000, but because her husband couldn’t afford, they gave away $100,000.
Mr Baako believes Christine-Marie Nyantakyi did not mention names because she was avoiding the legal battles.
