General Mosquito declares Mahama as NDC’s best choice for the 2020 elections

- NDC's General Mosquito has declared himself as the best to take up the office of general secretary of the party

- He added that former president John Mahama is best suited to secure victory for the party in the 2020 elections

- In his view, the new executives who began work for the party after the 2016 elections caused the party's defeat

The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has endorsed former president John Mahama as the party’s best choice for the 2020 elections.

According to a report by rainbowradioonline.com, Nketia, also known as General Mosquito stated that he is also the best to work as General Secretary of the party, and as such, the delegates should retain him.

He explained that he decided to seek reelection, so as to bring on board his rich experience to help the party win the 2020 elections.

"I want you to vote for me as general secretary. With my experience, I will help the party. If we should elect a candidate like Mahama and Asiedu Nketia as General Secretary, victory will be ours in 2020,’’ he appealed.

General Mosquito further noted that the party failed to clinch victory in the 2016 elections, because some new executives who joined the party caused its defeat.

He went on to say that he has been serving as the party’s general secretary for years now because they worked hard to secure victory for the party in the 2012 elections.

He added that the matter was taken to court, but the party still emerged victorious because of its solid leadership.

In his opinion, the party only experienced defeat when new executives were brought on board after the 2012 elections, and for that reason, it was no fault of his.
