There is the pain of the loss and pain of the people grieving around them, but do they really understand what happened?

This viral photo of a little boy staring at his father's photo during his burial makes one wonder what goes through the mind of little children after the loss of a loved one.

In the viral photo, the little boy who looked like he could not be more than age 5 was seen staring for long at his late father's photo.

Looking more closely at the photo it seemed like the little boy was curious about what his father's photo was doing on a wooden box.

It was gathered that the deceased identified as Mustafa Ingawa was buried on Thursday, November 8.

Reports allege that Ingawa was killed during a clash between security operatives and members of a religious sect in Abuja. It was also alleged that the deceased was a member of the religious sect.

YEN.com.gh came across the heartbreaking photos of the little boy after it was shared on a Facebook page known as Rariya.

The viral photo has since its publication on Facebook stirred a lot of emotions on the social media platform.

Though the reactions were written in the Hausa language, translations suggested they were comments to show pity and sorrow for the unfortunate incident.
