- Liverpool bounced back to winning ways after defeating Fulham 2-0 in the Premier League
- Goals from Mohamed Salah and Xherdan Shaqiri gifted the Reds the comfortable victory
- The Jurgen Klopp-tutored side is now top on the EPL standings with 30 points
Premier League campaigners, Liverpool, on Sunday, November 11 bounced back to winning ways after securing a 2-0 comfortable victory over newly-promoted side, Fulham, in a tough clash played at Anfield.
Mohamed Salah and Xherdan Shaqiri netted a goal apiece in either halves to seal another win for Liverpool.
The win saw the Anfield outfit momentarily go top of the EPL standings with 30 points, a point ahead of Manchester City who still have a match to play.
The Jurgen Klopp-tutored side started the game brightly, and Sadio Mane should have put them ahead within just four minutes of game play, but failed to capitalise on Alexander-Arnold’s bouncing cross.
The hosts were presented with another goal-scoring chance in the 16th minute after an impressive build up involving Firmino and Salah, but the Egyptian squandered the chance.
However, with four minutes left to half-time, Salah gifted his side a deserved lead moments after Mitrovic had a goal disallowed for Fulham.

Upon the resumption of the second half, Xherdan Shaqiri extended Liverpool's lead who finished superbly with a volley across Rico to make it 2-0 as the hosts went on to cart away all the three points.
The Sunday encounter was a must-win for the Reds who suffered a shock 2-0 defeat away to Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League in midweek.
Fulham, on their part faced a tall order ahead of the Liverpool tie, having won just one game all season - against Burnley in August - and have conceded 18 goals in their last six games, losing each of them.
