Multiple award-winning musician, Okyeame Kwame, known in real life as Kwame Nsiah-Apau, has lashed out at critics of rapper Medikal and Fella Makafui to allow them to live their lives as and how they saw fit.
According to a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Pulse.com.gh, Okyeame Kwame made the comments while speaking on '3Music Flava' with host Lerny Lomotey.
He went ahead to plead on Medikal and Fella Makafui's behalf and called on Ghanaians to stop bashing the couple.
Okyeame Kwame, popularly known as the 'Rap Doctor' waded into the issue surrounding Medikal, Fella Makafui and Deborah Vanessa and said that if things did not work out for Vanessa life had to still go on.
“What were you expecting, that he was going to marry Deborah Vanessa? Well if it happened we would all have gone to the wedding and be happy for them, but if it didn’t happen and he is now with Fella Makafui allow them to be, life goes on” Okyeame Kwame stated.
The rap doctor is currently on a media tour to promote his forthcoming album Made in Ghana.
The album, released under OK Music, was recorded live, consists 10 songs influenced by the various regions in Ghana, and comes out December 14. Ahead of the release, a listening session was held at the Roots Apartment Hotel in Accra September 17.
Medikal, Deborah Vanessa, popularly known as Sister Derby and Fella Makafui have been in the news for some time now.
This followed reports that Medikal and Sister Derby had broken up and the former had started dating YOLO actress Fella Makafui.
The ‘Too Risky’ hitmaker, has revealed that he broke up with Deborah Vanessa because she was pressurizing him with marriage.
According to him, he was not ready for marriage and so had to leave Sister Deborah for someone younger so they could plan their future together.
Medikal, born Samuel Adu Frimpong, made this known in his latest song: ‘Ayekoo’ which he sang to jab Sister Derby after she released ‘Kakalika love’ to taunt him and Fella Makafui.
