Liverpool and Egyptian football star Mohamed Salah has been named the Premier League player of the year by the Northwest Football organizers.
The 26-year-old who was impressive for Liverpool last season in the Premier League was announced as the winner of the award on social media.
So far in the Premier League, Mohamed Salah has made 61 appearances for Liverpool scoring 40 goals and 14 assists.
Last season, he also helped his club to reach the final of the 2017/18 Champions League in Kiev where he got injured after a tackle from Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos.
Also, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola won the NW Football award as the best Premier League manager of the year.
The Spaniard helped the Citizens to win the Premier League title in his second seasons at the Etihad stadium.
This term, Manchester City have also been impressive in their campaign as they are currently topping the Premier League standings with 32 points after 12 games played.
