T-Productions, a burgeoning production house, is set to thrill Ghanaians with a stage play that is going to address one of the pressing issues faced in Ghana – divorce.
With a host of talented actors and actress, T-Productions aims to revamp the movie industry with their productions and have focused on stage plays.
Speaking in an interview with YEN.com.gh, CEO of T-Productions, Mr Nathaniel Coleman, indicated that he, together with his team, had witnessed the Ghana Movie industry at its very best some years ago and also attested to the fact that stage plays or drama had also etched a place in the hearts of many Ghanaians.
He however noted that with the passage of time, the industry had seen a sharp decline causing Ghanaians to fall on foreign content for entertainment.
Mr. Coleman went on to indicate that together with his team, they were going to come out with a number of stage plays that were filled with suspense but at the same time, taught valuable lessons in life.
“Over the past few decades, the movie industry in Ghana has produced and touched lives with such rich and captivating stories of our past and present. In recent times, our movie industry has had a series of related challenges and almost seems to have collapsed," Mr Coleman said.
"Nowadays, foreign content has taken over our local screens; theater which used to be at a peak has also suddenly declined but it is being revived by by a few people", he noted.
"Hence, T-Productions as a local brand of a theater and film making house with a high and a global mindset of operation seeks therefore to impact the society through the use of music and act and to address some social challenges within the society", Mr Coleman added.
Mr Coleman noted that he had trained and worked with promising actors and actresses who have had the chance to star in some productions.
“We have trained a number of talented actors for over a year and some of them have starred in some projects including 'Ebenezer' and 'Chains & Choices' By Arana Adjei Of AdaWryt Productions.”
The CEO of the production house said they were set to entertain Ghanaians with a play they had pieced together for a while now.
" T - Productions, with the creative use of act & music, comes your way with a play written & directed by Nathaniel Coleman titled 'I Want Divorce.' "
According to him, the play was going to be staged on Farmer's Day, Friday, December 7, 2018 at 5:00pm.
The venue for the play would be God's Tabernacle of Praise(GTP), Madina-Firestone. There would be red carpet and a photo shoot prior to the play. There would also be special features including a performance from 'The Man On The Sax', 'Abibikasa' and a talk show.
