The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has accused some members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) of plotting against him.

Nketia, also known as General Mosquito, stated that some NPP members wish to see him lose at the NDC’s upcoming delegates’ congress.

"If you are playing football and you realized that your opponent's goal keeper's arm is broken, why do you instigate for his removal when you know he will be ineffective at goal keeping with a broken arm?" he wondered.

Speaking on Okay FM, he said that the NPP are crying more than the bereaved, as they have demonstrated their interest in the event.

General Mosquito went on to say that he finds it unnecessary to induce delegates with gifts, as he is capable of helping the NDC secure victory in the 2020 elections.

According to him, he is extremely confident he will retain his position as the general secretary of the NDC.

He went on to say that he will not respond to further allegations against him, as the delegates know him better than his haters.

The NDC is set to hold its national executive elections on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Fantasy Dome at the Trade Fair Centre, La in the Greater Accra Region.
