Female footballers are not lesbians - Adjoa Bayor

Former Black Queens captain Grace Adjoa Bayor has rubbished claims that female footballers are lesbians.

According to her, during her active days, none of her colleagues expressed interest in her.

She made this known in an interview with Accra-based Rainbow radio.

None of my colleagues expressed interest in me. I was never confronted in that regard.

Adjoa Bayor also stressed that it is not true that most female footballers are lesbians.

"I want to also deny claims that female footballers are lesbians. That is false. Throughout my career as a footballer, I never witnessed any acts or relationship between any of my colleagues.’’

She had earlier said that she never was intimate with a man till she was 32-years-old when she finally broke her virginity.

In recounting her story, the ex-footballer said, she only allowed her fiancée to break her virginity after dating him for five years.

Adjoa Bayor was a member of the World All Stars team to play against the China women's national football team in April 2007 at Wuhan, China.

She has played for Ghatel Ladies in Accra, Ghana and has also played for FC Indiana in the United States recently.

Adjoa Bayor joined FF USV Jena in 2009. In September 2007 Adjoa Bayor captained the Ghana national team at the World Cup in China.
