The rate at which young people are dying these days is alarming, raising much concern in the public.
Though the Bible has made it clear that it is appointed onto man to die, the increased death rate of young people is sad rather than comforting.
It is in the vein that a mortuary worker who claims to be experienced in his line of job, as revealed what is killing young people lately.
According to the mortuary man who wants to remain anonymous for now, young people are brought to the mortuary on a daily basis and of these, boys are the majority.
He added that these young boys are aged between 15 and above mostly teenagers.
In a report sighted by YEN.com.gh in Mynewgh.com, the mortuary man said he felt pathetic anytime he had to prepare such young dead people for preservation.
Revealing what is causing this death, the mortuary man said the “get rich quick” attitude of young people these days is a leading factor.
Another reason, he gave, was that some of these boys go after other men’s wives, what is popularly called ‘sugar mummies’, and end up being killed mysteriously.
The mortuary man added that most of these young people also lead promiscuous lifestyles, together with so many unhealthy habits.
He was quoted to have said: “The young ones die a lot these days especially the young boys. Those from age 15 and above mostly teenagers. I become traumatized preparing such teenagers for preservation.”
“It is a very pathetic situation to see someone who is just about to start life die prematurely. The kind of lifestyles of these youth is the cause of these deaths. Some of them in their quest to get rich fast, others as a result of promiscuous lifestyles, snatching of people’s wives and so many unhealthy habits cause these deaths”.
According to him, some of the dead bodies, before they are embalmed, are seen wearing smiling faces while others frown; adding that he has never seen any dead body wake up from the morgue.
He revealed that he had never seen what people call ghost before having worked many years as a mortuary man.
Therefore, he sleeps at the morgue comfortably, knowing that when someone is dead the person is indeed lifeless, as the Bible rightly teaches.
“Once someone is dead he/she is dead. I sleep comfortably here almost all the time and I have never seen a ghost. I wake up occasionally if I am called to receive a dead body or they are taking one away for burial.”
“Those who come to bath and prepare the bodies for burial sometimes spend much of their time here and nothing happens. I am experienced in this business and nowhere have I seen a dead body wake up so I am not scared at all”, he explained.
