Ghana U-23 coach Yusif Abubakar confirmed dead

Coach of the U-23 football team of Ghana Yusif Abubakar has been confirmed dead, YEN.com.gh can report.

According to a report gathered by YEN.com.gh, Yusif died on Tuesday morning.

He was confirmed dead at the Kwame Nkrumah University (KNUST) hospital after battling short illness.

A source close to the family in an interview with YEN.com.gh confirmed the death of the 60-year-olf trainer.

It is true coach Yusif Abukar is no more, he is dead.

“He has not been well for some weeks, he died at the KNUST hospital,” the source said.

Per the Islamic law, he is expected to be buried today, November 20, in Kumasi.

Abubakar was appointed coach of Ghana's U-23 football team last month.

He has coached top clubs in the Ghana Premier League including Hearts of Oak, Aduana Stars and Berekum Chelsea.
