New Manchester United signing trains with team-mates after completing transfer

- Manchester United have unintentionally announced the signing of Paul Woolston

- The goalkeeper was spotted in training alongside Mourinho's first team

- He later posed for a photo with almost the entire squad

Premier League giants Manchester United have inadvertently made public the signing of star goalkeeper, Paul Woolston.

The former Newcastle United shot-stopper has been on trial with the Red Devils since September, and it now appears the Manchester outfit is impressed with his performances.

Following the departure of Joel Pereira, Dean Henderson and Kieran O’Hara from Old Trafford last summer, leaving Mourinho with an acute shortage of options between the stands.

United were forced to sign Lee Grant from Stoke City as a cover-up for Sergio Romero who has struggled with injuries.

Grant could now be handed stiff competition in the pecking order following the arrival of Woolston.

The English keeper who has been featuring for Manchester United-u23 has since been spotted training with the first team.

The youngster, who sported a no.32 and a blue top in training, was one of the remaining United players available to Mourinho during the international break.

A good chunk of the Portuguese tactician's squad is involved in the Nations League but United were boosted by the return of Diogo Dalot and Anthony Martial to full fitness.

The Red Devils will be looking to return to winning ways when they face Crystal Palace on Saturday, November 24 at Old Trafford.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Mourinho has asked United chiefs to sign Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford as David De Gea's replacement at the club.

De Gea's current contract with United is due to expire next summer, although the club has an option of extending it for a further one year.
