A United Arab Emirates-based Moroccan woman has been accused of killing her lover and serving his remains to Pakistani workers.
BBC reports that prosecutors in the United Arab Emirate said the 30-year-old woman cooked her boyfriend and served his remains as part of a traditional rice and meat dish.
Legit.ng gathers that the crime was said to have been committed in August but was only recently discovered when a human tooth was found insider her blender by the deceased's brother.
The deceased's brother reported the deceased missing to the police, after which DNA test was run on the tooth. The result confirmed that the tooth belonged to the victim.
According to report, she confessed to police that she committed the crime. She was said to have called the crime a moment of insanity. Report has it that the woman had been in a relationship with her boyfriend for seven years.
The suspect, who will be tried pending an investigation, was said to have killed the victim when the latter told her he would be marrying someone else from Morocco.
The police said the woman first told the brother she had kicked the victim out of the home, but later confessed to killing him after she was interrogated.
According to report, she has been sent to hospital for mental examination.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the police in Lagos arrested a 23-year-old housewife, Damilola Ayeni, for allegedly stabbing her husband and father of two children, Olumide, to death at their house on Bamgbose street, Lagos Island.
The incident, which reportedly happened on Friday, August 4, occurred during a disagreement between the couple.
The 36-year-old victim was rushed to the Lagos Island General Hospital where he died due to the injury sustained when his wife allegedly stabbed him.
The deceased’s father, Sunday Ayeni, who reported the case to the police, said his son was murdered by the wife over suspicion of infidelity.
He said: “My son and I work at the Lagos Island General Hospital. While I work as a security guard, he worked in the pharmacy department. They got married at the Ikoyi registry.
“They had issues many times and my son reported her to me. I told them to go their separate ways, but people said I should not come between them."
