Call off demo; we will pay you - Menzgold management to customers

- Customers of Menzgold have been asked to call off their intended nationwide demonstration over their locked up investments

- Management of the gold dealership company has promised to pay all aggrieved customers their returns

Menzgold Ghana Limited is calling on aggrieved customers of the company to back down on their planned nationwide demonstration, which they have scheduled to the take place on November, 27 2018.

The company said although their customers have the right to stage such a protest, it believed that the action was unnecessary Because the gold firm was honouring its promise of paying monies to the customers.

According to a report sighted by YEN.com.gh, Head of Communications of Menzgold, Nii Armah Amarteifio who was speaking to Citi News, said aggrieved customers who were still unsure about the payment of their investments must approach the company and dialogue, rather than hit the streets.

“I urge them to call off the demonstration because as it stands, the promise that we made to them regarding the payment of the 15% would be done soon”

He also noted that most customers were complaining that they had not seen or heard people being paid.

"But the fact is that we are paying so I urge them to come, so we sit down and have a discussion on the matter,” he said.

Yen.com.gh earlier reported that aggrieved customers of Menzgold company had planned to take to the streets in protest against unpaid returns.

A group calling itself the Coalition of Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold Company Limited, has disclosed that they would be demonstrating, come Tuesday, 27 November 2018.

The demonstration is to register their displeasure against the management of the gold trading firm, to demand full payment of their principal investments which had been locked up with the company.

According to them, the company had defaulted on its several promises to pay them an agreed 15 per cent off their principal.
