For many showbiz personalities, fame and money, instead of being a blessing rather become a curse for them.

One such person is Ghanaian rapper, Bak Tye (Baka Tee) who turned from a household name and superstar to a pauper.

Arguably one of the best rappers in the mid-2000s, the 38-year-old now looks like he is over 60 years.

In images sighted by YEN.com.gh, Bak Tye's present condition leaves much to be desired as he looks very frail and unhealthy.

Appearing on Starr FM's Starr Drive on Thursday, Bak Tye told a very sad story of how he has come to be in this situation after all that he achieved.

According to him, the music industry and life have been unfair to him over the years, especially after he lost his mother.

He further revealed that some of his life choices including friendships and even the management chose were not the best.

For his physical condition, he attributed it to an accident he had which had even left scars on his head.

He denied suggestions that he was using hard drugs but admitted to being a heavy user of alcohol.

“No one stays on top forever. Life happened. ….. I need your support,” he consoled himself.

Bak Tye, a contemporary of Shatta Wale (then Bandana) and Samini (Batman) burst onto the music scene with a monstrous hit called 'Yenpie'.

The song which featured Samini and was produced by Agyengo was the party anthem for 2004 and beyond.

After that track and album, Bak Tye became one of the most sought-after artistes and had collaborations with Mzbel on her breakthrough 'Awoso Me' and Kofi Nti among many others.

He was almost on every show that happened around time and was just as big as any other artiste but he went into oblivion after sometime only to resurface in a bad shape.
