'Ghost' of murdered student 'leads' suspects to police

Two key suspects in the murder of a final-year student of the Effiduase Senior High Commercial School [EFFISCO] in the Ashanti Region have been arrested by the police.

According to Myjoyonline.com report sighted by YEN.com.gh, the duo, who were arrested disclosed to the police that they had sleepless nights after committing the crime two months ago.

The suspects are 22-year old Emmanuel Otu, aka Linking, and 20 –year old Emmanuel Agyekum, also known as Essien.

They revealed how they planned to travel outside the country but failed to do so as they were restrained by the alleged ghost of the student they killed.

Effiduase District Commander, Superintendent Asare Bediako told Nhyira FM the two in their caution statement to police indicated they were being haunted by ghost of the of the former Business student of EFFISCO they allegedly killed.

"We [police] don't believe in spiritualism but according to them, they were always haunted by the ghost of the young man [ Derrick Agyei]. They wanted to go out of the country but the man was asking them to come back and hand themselves to the police. That's what we had from them," Supt. Asare Bediako said.

He added that, the two suspects’ narrations can’t be considered in court admitting that the victim’s ghost played a role in their arrest.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh reported a story of how residents of Ablekuma in Accra claimed that the ghost of a woman who was murdered by her husband at Ablekuma in Accra has written a letter to him.

Two months ago, the remains of the said ghost was found at Ablekuma-Block factory after her husband allegedly butchered her due to an alleged cheating in their marriage.

The husband, Yaw Mensah, was arrested and subsequently sentenced to life imprisonment.

After the death of the woman, tenants in the house in which the incident took place have been complaining of some scary events happening ever since the lady passed on.
