Information available to YEN.com.gh shows that four armed robbers have stolen GHC237,000 from a cocoa clerk.
According to a report by MyNewsGH.com, the incident happened at Tepa, the capital of the Ahafo Ano North district of the Ashanti Region.
YEN.com.gh understands that the clerk, Robber Agyekum withdrew money, which was the day’s transactions from the bank.
Upon his arrival at the office at Mabang, the unidentified suspects, who were hiding in a nearby bush entered the office and snatched the money from him.
Police officials revealed that they bolted after the incident and till date their whereabouts are unknown.
Inspector Micah Arthur, who is the officer in charge of the case, disclosed that policemen patrolled the whole area through Bomaa to Subompan, but could not find the robbers.
Meanwhile, four empty AK 47 shells were retrieved from the scene.
