- Investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw has said he has been betrayed by close persons
- Anas said his line of work has brought him much of such betrayals
- He also said those who betray him come back to beg him all the time
Ghana’s renowned investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has revealed that he has been betrayed.
According to the ace journalist, betrayal is a common thing he is faced with all the time in line of his work.
Anas, however, refused to mention names of those who have betrayed him.
He added that those who fallout from his circles and betray him always came back to beg.
The Tiger Eye PI boss made this revelation at a media event in Takoradi, as sighted by YEN.com.gh in a Mynewgh.com report.
“If you do this work for 20 years and you have not been betrayed then you are joking,” Anas reportedly said.
The controversial undercover journalist indicated that betrayal is one of the major challenges of the work as an undercover journalist explaining how persons who betrayed him in one way or the other came back begging.
Despite the betrayal even from some of his close aids, Anas said he made sure to stick to the truth all the time, and this made those who betray him come back to beg him .
“I stick to the truth and those who betray us come back begging which is normal of human beings. I anticipate such things coming,” Anas revealed.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported the news of Anas’ photos being leaked in the media.
This was caused by outspoken NPP member, Kennedy Agyapong, who claimed the photos were released to him by someone from Anas’ camp.
Kennedy Agyapong also claimed he had information about how Anas was sleeping with the widow of the late NPP’s J.B Danquah, how he duped people to acquire a mansion at Dzorwulu, and how Anas had fathered 13 children with different women.
However, the Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Kweku Baako, refuted all of Kennedy Agyapong’s allegations, and asked the public to disregard the supposed photos being circulated as Anas.
He revealed further that those false information was being spread by a disgruntled member of Anas’ team who was sacked.
This worker, according to Baako, was sacked for refusal to go back to school to “upgrade” himself.
This got him bitter, and he started misinforming Anas’ ‘enemies’ about him.
It is in this vein that Anas felt very betrayed because that person was a close aid.
He further commended his former school mates and colleagues including primary and junior high school, and tertiary mates for concealing his identity based on an appeal he made to them.
“I told my schoolmates that I am moving into another part of the world so anyone who has my images must keep them well in their own interest even though I use several faces in the line of investigative work. Colleagues have done very well and heeded to my advice of partnering and protected me over the years and concealed my identity,” Anas said.
He was in the news recently for daring Kwesi Nyantakyi's wife to sue him if she claimed he took a bribe from them to 'kill' the 'Number 12' investigative piece on her husband.
