Former president John Mahama is looking to make a comeback as head of state. This means that Mahama is taking all of the opportunity to position himself as a preferable choice to the current leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo.
YEN.com.gh asked its readers on Facebook if the former president stood any chance of a comeback. And from what we saw, it is clear that many still find him very favourable.
John Mahama is after all, a former president and the man most likely to lead the National Democratic Congress (NDC) into the next elections.
And so when he calls out Akufo-Addo for saying the NDC will not be voted into power in 2020, Ghanaians will have their opinions.
Pierro Akon Quame kicked off the opinions with a question. This Facebook user asked if the former president was God when he predicted in 2016 that Nana Akufo-Addo could never be president.
Adam Ibrahim also went back in time and recollected that "...same God evicted and humiliated you woefully in 2016". The user then added, "We will manage Akuffo-Addo [sic] like that.
Thomas S. Tii was however emphatic that "the NDC has 100% chance of winning the 2020 election".
Aku Sika Dwenpa was not enthusiastic that John Mahama would be conceived as a God in any form by Ghanaians.
Lastly, Akwasi Asare Baffour Dunlop thinks John Mahama is still the "incompetent one" despite the claims made by the former president's claims about Akufo-Addo.
Overall, it would seem that even though Akufo-Addo and the current president are under pressure, people are still not sure of what John Mahama is selling.
