The Ashaiman District Court has sentenced an 18-year-old driver’s mate to 10 years’ imprisonment with hard labour for helping his pal to steal a wallet.
The court, presided over by Gabriel Mate-Teye, slapped the sentence on Gameli Tofah after he had pleaded guilty to abetment of crime.
Adomonline.com reports that the prosecutor, Inspector Nunoo-Mensah, told the court that on October 27, 2018, Tofah aided his friend one Kofi, who is at large, to snatch a wallet containing an amount of GH¢200 from Isaac Buabeng.
He said they snatched the wallet when the complainant was returning home from a musical concert organised at Sakasaka Park at Ashaiman by the dancehall musical artiste, Stonebwoy.
