The success story of Ismael Borngreat will warm lots of hearts especially those who were born poor.
With determination, you can achieve anything you want and that is what Ishmael has done.
Life was so hard for Ishmael and he had no option than to take up menial jobs just to get by, his surname probably was the motivating force behind his will to push ahead.
Ishmael, who attended Suhum Presbyterian High School in the Eastern Region, was said to have been a shoemaker before he went to study at the University of Education, Winneba.
He wasn't despaired with respect to his background as he undoubtedly had to compete with students from a more affluent background and most likely had access to a higher quality of education.
Ishmael didn’t ask himself whether he belonged, but he rather went ahead and set his eyes on victory.
He graduated from UEW with First Class honours a rather revered class to graduate with at the university.
After achieving that feat, Ismael took to his Facebook page to express his happiness.
"From a cobbler(shoe maker) to a First Class University student. God is so good. Thanks to all my helpers. May God bless me and all my helpers. The First Class honours degree is dedicated to all Suhum PRESEC teachers, my family and friends."
YEN.com.gh previously had reported a story of Elizabeth a University of Cape Coast (UCC) distance education.
According to Elizabeth, she sells dried fish to pay her fees at UCC.
Elizabeth story has really motivated young ladies especially those coming from poor homes.
