His struggles on the sidelines at the Manchester outfit have now cost him a place in Brazil's most recent squad.

According to a report by the Metro UK, Fred's failure to make Brazil's line-up due to limited playing time at Manchester United has left the midfielder fuming.

"I’ve played very little at United, so it’s normal for Professor Tite not to be able to evaluate me, even though I’ve worked hard with him before," Metro UK quoted Fred.

"Of course, I was annoyed, but I have to know how to deal with the sadness to be able to help me take a step forward," he added.

However, the 25-year-old has made it clear he will not let his frustrations at the Red Devils affect his career, vowing to prove his worth at his new club.

"The coach has chosen not to put me in the team. That’s his choice. I still do my job and I can’t let it affect my mindset, I cannot let that shake me. I have to be patient," he said.
