- Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is not sure if his team can finish among the top four this season
- United are currently occupying seventh position on the standings and they are 16 points behind leaders Manchester City
- Jose Mourinho has now admitted that he faces a tough task to climb the table this season in the EPL
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has admitted that his wards will need a miracle to finish among the top four teams at the end of the ongoing Premier League season.
United have not been impressive this season in the Premier League as they currently occupy seventh position on the standings and they are eight points behind fourth placed Arsenal.
Mourinho and his men have earned just two points from their last three League matches having been held by both Crystal Palace and Southampton and been beaten by Manchester City.
The Red Devils are 16 point behind current Premier League leaders Manchester City, and Jose Mourinho said that his team may not qualify for next season's Champions League.
"Last year I said it was fantastic to finish second considering the quality we had compared to other teams who were fighting for a top-four finish.
"This year, as we're facing even more problems, it proves what I said when the season started: that it would be very tough for us. Now we must try and win as many points as we can. It will take almost a miracle to finish in the top four." Mourinho told RedeTV according to Goal.
Earlier, YEN.com.gh had reported how Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly considering bringing striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic back to Old Trafford when the January 2019 transfer window opens.
The 37-year-old Swedish professional football star spent two terms at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho and left the Premier League side in March this year for a move to LA Galaxy.
In his first season at Old Trafford, Zlatan Ibrahimovic helped Manchester United win the Europa League title and also the EFL Cup.
