- According to him, most of them are capable of raising the amount to settle the fee
- The NDC is taking GHC400,000 from the aspirants as the filing fee for flagbearership
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has called on those aspiring to lead the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to pay the amount requested by the party.
Speaking on Adom TV’s show, Badwam, he argued that those willing to lead the nation as president should display their revenue mobilization skills.
He went on to say that most of the NDC aspirants are being hypocritical, as they can easily raise the required GHC420,000 filing fee.

"All of them are liars; Kojo Bonsu, Bagbin, Sylvester Mensah are all saying they can’t pay? They should pay, it should show that they can pay be president,” he declared.
Eight presidential hopefuls of the NDC have formed an alliance to demand the reduction of filing fees.
Alban Bagbin, Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, Sylvester Mensah, Stephen Atubiga, Nurudeen Iddrisu, Goosie Tanoh, Kojo Bonsu and Elikplim Agbemava want the nomination fees, or fees for collection of forms, to be pegged at GHC5,000 and filing fees reduced to GHC100,000.
The deadline for the picking of forms is Tuesday, December 2018, and the election of the flagbearer will take place on Saturday, January 19, 2019.
