Ghanaian actress, Tracey Boakye, was in the news in recent times for paying an amount of GHC2000 to support the presidential campaign of former president John Mahama.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that she said the money was her contribution towards raising an amount of GHC420,000 for Mahama as his filing and nomination fee to contest for the NDC flagbearership race for election 2020.
According to a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Mynewsgh.com, she stated that she is looking forward to a role in the creative arts industry if Mahama takes charge as president of Ghana.
She explained that she is interested in an appointment in the tourism and creative arts industry, in order to help Kumawood grow.
In an interview with Accra FM’s host, Nana Romeo Welewele, she said that: “I ’ve paid GHC2000 to support John Mahama. I paid it through the shortcode on social media.”
YEN.com.gh understands that she earlier said: “we are coming in 2020; we are at the Flagstaff House. We are in a comfortable lead. There will be peace in NDC by end of January.”
