Ghanaians have reacted to President Akufo-Addo’s statement that his government has improved every aspect of the lives of Ghanaians.
Delivering a speech at the 12th Graduation Ceremony of Akrofi-Christaller Institute of Theology, Mission and Culture, at Akropong, Akuapem, in the Eastern Region, he said the fundamentals of the economy have been strengthened.
According to him, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration has brought renewed hope to Ghanaians.
"This has resulted in the growing stability of the macro-economy and the cedi, reduction in inflation and interest rates.
“At the halfway stage of my government’s tenure, we have proven, by all accounts, to be good managers of the Ghanaian economy, and we have made significant progress in all aspects of our nation’s life and towards the realisation of the vision of a Ghana Beyond Aid," Nana Addo said.
YEN.com.gh, therefore, put up a post asking Ghanaians to give their views on the said statement and whether they can relate to it.
One Facebook user said: “Old man! please don't provoke people to curse you oh.”
Another said: “More is needed to put our education onto the right track, when much attention is given to second cycle while tertiary and basic education is collapsing.”
A third person stated: “Mr President, the fundamentals are exposing your bad governance.. The masses are suffering and you and your family are enjoying big time...”
One other guy said: “Say your family and friends not Ghanaians.”
