A deputy electoral commissioner, Bossman Asare, has stated in an interview that the decision of the commission to go for the old logo will do the commission more good than thee logo which was introduced by the former chairperson of the commission, Charlotte Osei.
According to him, the motto of the logo clearly stated transparency, fairness and integrity, and that was what the commission truly represented.
Asare added that the commission thought that the restored logo was more symbolic of what they did as compared to the previous one.
“The consensus was that this would be able to do a better job for us rather than the one which was introduced by the previous leadership of the commission," he said.
Asare said that the change of logo was part of efforts to review the policy direction of the commission, with the change in logo being one thematic area majority of the members decided on.
