Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has lamented the current economic situation in the country, insisting times are hard.
According to her, things are not going very well under President Akufo-Addo and the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The award-winning actress is noted for being vociferous when it comes to issues of national interest.
Some years back, she led a vigil to protest against the then National Democratic Congress (NDC) government when citizens were experiencing erratic power supply.
In a Twitter post, Yvonne Nelson insists things are still hard under the current government.
“Things are hard in this country!!!! It’s that bad!!!!!!” she wrote on her timeline.
She becomes the second celebrity in the space of three days to complain about the economic situation in the country.
On Tuesday, dancehall sensation Shatta Wale also called on President Akufo-Addo to “sit up”, insisting the youth of the country are suffering.
According to him, the hard economic conditions have made it difficult for the youth of Ghana to thrive.
In a social media post, Shatta Wale said President Akufo-Addo must sit up and alleviate the youth from suffering.
