Hiplife musician and political activist, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, has for the umpteenth time expressed his disappointment with the performance of the Akufo-Addo-led government.
The "Mirror Mirror" rapper is an avowed member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He has also described himself as a fan of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
But it would seem A-Plus is not one to hide the fact that the president has not met the least of his expectations.
In an interview on Accra-based Hitz FM, the musician lamented the failure of the government to see through pertinent promises made prior to the 2016 General Elections.
He cited the recent decision by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture to invest $4.5 million to host the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in Ghana as one of the worst decisions taken by the ministry.
The controversial musician is quoted as saying: “the industry is collapsing. Shirley Frimpong-Manso has put so much into sustaining this industry but she is not being supported.
What are they coming to watch; the motorway that has not got streetlights? Your own people are crying".
The musician ended with a bombshell hinting that since he was an informed citizen, there remained the possibility that he could vote of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2020.
He added: "In 2020, I can choose NDC, and in 2024."
