Student dies after being allegedly locked up in a library

- A first year student, Henry Kakari Frimpong, has reportedly lost his life

- According to sources, he was locked up in a library, an allegation the school's authorities are yet to respond to

A student of the St Paul Technical School, Kukurantumi in the Eastern region, Henry Kakari Frimpong, allegedly lost his life after he was locked in the school’s library.

YEN.com.gh understands that Frimpong was a first year student, and he passed away at a hospital in Koforidua on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.

Frimpong’s mother, Evelyn Adu Kakari , revealed that she received a distress call from the house master who told her the son was suffering from malaria.

According to her, she rushed to the hospital at Kukurantumi to see her son tied to a hospital bed.

Mrs Kakari further disclosed that she was later asked to send the sick son to the Koforidua Government Hospital where he was put on oxygen support.

According to her, though she pleaded with the nurses at the hospital to help transfer him to 37 Military Hospital, they declined.

She was informed few hours later of her son’s passing at dawn on Thursday, December 6, 2018.

Father of the deceased, Adu Kakari, alleged that some of his son’s friends informed him that the deceased was locked up in the library till the following day, an allegation school authorities are yet to respond to.
