All too soon we are almost at the end of the year. 2018 has been very eventful, especially for people who are rated as celebrities.
These are personalities who are often synonymous with controversies, since any news about them sells in the media.
Imagine an actress, actor, musician or television presenter going a whole 12 months without courting controversy.
That is very rare, however, there are a selected few who have managed to deal with things on a low and away from the public’s eye.
Below are 10 Ghanaian celebrities who were well behaved in 2018:
1. Naa Ashorkor
Actress and television presenter Naa Ashorkor was one of the best behaved celebrities in the year under review.
The actress comported herself very well in 2018 and there was very little controversy surrounding her personality or work.
Perhaps being married may have played a key role in this, but Naa Ashorkor has never been one of those who like to court unnecessary attention.
Currently, she is a radio presenter on Accra-based Joy FM and was one of the judges for the 2018 Miss Malaika pageantry.
2. Adjetey Anang
Another Ghanaian celebrity who has had an eventful year, yet away from bad press is Adjetey Anang.
The seasoned actor has been one of the most consistent players in the industry in the last decade.
In fact, he remains very relevant and, perhaps, shot more movies than any other actor in the year 2018.
Adjetey Anang was adjudged the Best Actor in a Drama Series at the 2018 edition of Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards in Nigeria.
This was for his starring role in the movie ‘Keteke’. Despite having a busy year, the renowned actor has been well behaved, and has distanced himself from any controversies.
3. Nadia Buari
As far as actresses go in Ghana, it is very easy for them to become targets of the media. Anything they post on social media usually becomes the talk of town.
However, 2018 has been a year of discretion for Nadia Buaria, who has so far opted to deal with her issues away from the media.
The star actress has been the subject of very little controversy, if any.
Such is her discretion that many Ghanaians were left second-guessing when she revealed in an interview earlier in the year that she has four children.
Despite being a celebrity, Nadia has managed to keep her family life away from the public and she did it perfectly.
4. Nana Ama McBrown
Award-winning actress Nana Ama McBrown is another celebrity who has had a great year, with regards to behaviour.
Nana Ama has developed into a big brand on the local scene, with her many endorsement deals distinguishing her from her contemporaries.

Although her marriage has constantly been brought up in the media – she is older than her husband Maxwell – the actress has often paid no attention to her critics.

The EIB Network employee has had a lot of many gigs in 2018, including being selected as one of the hosts for the AFRIMA held in Accra last month.
It is commendable that she has managed to avoid deal with her issues away from the media, although she is not noted for sparking controversy.
6. John Dumelo
Some years ago, actor John Dumelo would have been number one when it comes to personalities who made the headlines most.
However, the popular actor has been a bit relaxed this year, opting to keep himself and his family away from the media.
On the few occasions that he has been in the media, it has been either him commenting on national issues or encouraging the youth to venture into agriculture.
In fact, although Dumelo has not done a lot of movies in 2018, he has still remained very relevant due to some of the things he’s been doing off the camera.
He has been very well behaved, with no controversy at all coming his way this year.

Majid has always been a family man, but the new him has become even more media shy due than he ever was in the past.
He rarely speaks in the media, other than it being an exclusive interview. 2018 has generally been a normal year for Majid, and his behaviour has been top-notch as usual.
Usually quiet, effective and very smart – that’s rapper M.anifest and 2018 has not been any different for him.
The 36-year-old has released a number of hit tracks this year already and is on course to end the year with a bang.
