YEN.com.gh earlier reported the sad story of a 20-year-old man, Yaw Kyeremeh, who died during baptism in Accra.
The young man sadly drowned while undertaking the baptism with others in the Weija River.
He was immersed into the water for the first time and was supposed to be immersed again for two more times.
However, Yaw strangely started to drown after the first immersion.
The pastor, who wore a white singlet, was captured screaming the Twi language for help saying: “People come, people come, people come”.
It was seen that someone who was sitting in a boat at where the baptism was taking quickly sprung into the water to help the drowning man up, but he had long sunk deeply into the bottom of the water.
It was also seen that the one recording the baptismal process dropped his phone to help bring out Yaw as he kept mentioning his name.
All this while, the pastor was heard still shouting: “People come, where is a helper? Come, someone is dying come.”
YEN.com.gh also heard the pastor telling the people who had joined in the search for Yaw that “there he is, there he is,” but unfortunately, it seems the body was not found.
Some rescuers who came onto the scene were heard saying that the spot where Yaw drowned was so deep so they could not go there to bring him out.
The rescuers also complained that though the pastor and his members were warned not to go to that spot because it was deep, but they did not listen.
YEN.com.gh sends its warm condolences to the bereaved family.
Meanwhile, in other news, rapper E.L, has dismissed long-time rumours that he dated Berla Mundi.
According to him, Ghanaians made such a story but they were mere friends.
