Invisible Forces sack top NHIA official from his office (Photo)

- The Invisible Forces have locked out the Yilo Krobo manager of National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Emmanuel Martey

- They explained that they prefer an ingene to work in the office

- They added that they have competent people in the community who can take up the responsibility

Members of the Invisible Forces, a vigilante group, have allegedly locked the office of the Yilo Krobo manager of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Emmanuel Martey.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 but the office was unlocked the next day.

This was after a cloded-door meeting with Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Area, Ebenezer Tetteh Kupoualor.

However, they group struck again with the support of some constituency executives and supporters of the party.

YEN.com.gh understands that the YiIo Krobo constituency executives and supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) want the embattled NHIA manager replaced by an indigene.

One of the invaders argued that “we have qualified persons here in Yilo Krobo who fought hard for the party to come to power so why should we bring someone from Upper Manya to head NHIA.

“We will not allow this to happen. They should establish NHIA office in Upper Manya for him because he cannot work here.”

The incident has sparked fear among the staff of the NHIA leading to the suspension of operation until safety can be guaranteed.

Meanwhile, the incident has been reported to the police but none of the suspects has been arrested.
