Ghanaians condemn receipt of GHc20,000 and computers by chiefs from Chinese

Some Ghanaians on social media have expressed their disappointment after news broke out about a donation made by the Chinese embassy to the National House of Chiefs.

YEN.com.gh understands that following a request for support, the Chinese ambassador to Ghana, Shi Ting Wang, presented the items to the president of the Ghana House of Chiefs, Togbe Afede XIV.

The items included; ten(10) desktop and two laptop computers, two external hard drives, ten(10) anti-virus software, two air-conditioners and ten(10) D-link USB wireless adaptors, a server machine and two canon scanners:

A social media user was convinced it is simply a ploy to get more lands

Another argued it is simply bribery

A third claimed the act was simply cheap patronage

And another concluded it was simply a plan to continue with galamsey

Marshalee added that they simply wanted more land for galamsey
