YEN.com.gh has sighted a video involving two African migrants who got arrested while hiding in two separate mattresses.
The footage was shared on Twitter by Spanish senator Jon Inarritu and he wrote;"As long as there are no safe routes to seek asylum, situations like this will continue to occur in the southern boarder of Europe."
The two African migrants were hiding in the mattress so they could go pass Spanish police and consequently enter Spain from Morocco.
But luck eluded the two young African men when the mattress they were hiding in was cut open by Spanish boarder guards at the boarder town of Melilla between Spain and Morocco.
In the video, one could see that the mattress was tied on a top of a white van when it was impounded, the mattresses dropped down and cut opened with a knife.
When the mattresses were cut open, the young men who were lying flat sat down and began looking into the faces of the guards who were speaking Spanish.
The driver of the van was said to have fled back into Morocco thus was not arrested.
Meanwhile the two young Africans are under arrest impending interview and investigation by the Spanish authorities.
It is evident from the video that the young men were confused and felt pity for themselves because they didn't imagine getting cut opened in the mattress when they have not reached their final destination.
One could not tell how the young men were busted but it seems the boarder guards in many countries are finding ways to clamp down on illegal migration thus unveiling the smart plans of migrants and their smugglers.
Illegal migration and such 'deadly' ways of sneaking into supposed rich countries by Africans is not a new phenomenon.
Illegal migration have been on the rise lately with a lot of young unemployed Africans journeying to Europe in search of greener pastures.
While on the journey, many die while others are caught trying to outwit boarder guards and police. Only few make it to their final destination.
