Young female sports journalist Nana Sarpongmaa Damoah dies

Information reaching YEN.com.gh indicates that young female sports journalist with Accra-based Vision 1 FM, Nana Sarpongmaa Damoah, is dead.

According to sources close to YEN.com.gh, the budding journalist reportedly died on Thursday, January 3.

The deceased was on admission at the hospital receiving treatment for an ailment.

The cause of death is not yet known, but sources indicate she had been indisposed for some time now.

Her condition was said to have deteriorated for which reason she was taken to the hospital but never survived the ailment.

Before moving to Vision 1, she had previously worked with La-based, ZTV.

Sarpongmaa becomes the third Ghanaian journalist to be confirmed dead just after Peace FM’s Danny Akorful and UTV’s Mavis Animah.

In other news, popular Nigerian DJ Seun Omogaji better known as, Xgnee, committed suicide after drinking sniper on Wednesday, January 2.

According to reports, the DJ died after suffering from an undisclosed marital status.

That was not all, late Xgnee also took to his Instagram handle to pen down a suicide note where he asked people to wear white attires when he is no more.
