Promising Arsenal forward Edward Nketiah has reportedly told Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah he is not ready to commit his international future to the West African country.
Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah met with the 19-year-old in Iceland somewhere in 2018 and held talks with him concerning his international future.
Ghanasportsonline.com reports that the striker reportedly told the Ghana head coach he is not interested in playing for Ghana for now as he seeks to pursue an international career with England.
England manager Gary Southgate has watched Nketiah trained under his Three Lions squad and the Gunners man feel he could have a real opportunity to play for England.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery has given playing time to the budding striker in his first team squad in domestic competition and in the UEFA Europa League.
Reports have confirmed that the striker told Appiah bluntly that he is not interested in playing for Ghana during the said meeting in Iceland.
In addition, the father of the striker travelled to Ghana to engage the technical team and some management members of the team to demand for financial gains before inviting the player to play for Ghana.
Earlier,YEN.com.gh reported that the relationship between footballer Richmond Boakye-Yiadom and media personality Deloris Frimpong-Manso seems to be gaining further ground.
This is because in newly sighted social media posts, the pair seem inseparable.
