Real Betis came in stronger in the second period and were asking questions in the Madrid goal.

Sergio Canales equalized in the 67th minute after beating an offside trap to put the ball through the legs of Keylor Navas in goal.

Although the referee had to consult the VAR team for a review if the Spaniard was in an offside position and the goal stood as Betis were level at 1-1.
