The one-year anniversary of the late singer was originally slated for February 8 this year, but it has now been shifted to March 31.
Her father said he arrived at the decision after consultations with other members of the extended family.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Agyenkwa FM, Mr. Kwarteng said unlike other ethnic groups, the Akans have no stringent rule that demands that the anniversary of a dead person be marked on the same day he or she died.
He further disclosed the venue where the one-year anniversary will be held is a place around Dansoman, although the exact place is not yet known.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kwarteng also revealed plans to launch a joint-record label with his deceased daughter called KwarBony records.
