Daniel Asiedu, the suspected killer of the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa North, Joseph Boakye Danquah, has demanded the services of a lawyer from the International Criminal Court (ICC).
According to him, it is because of the magnitude of the case in which he is being accused of murder.
Danquah was reportedly murdered in his room by Asiedu at about 11:40pm at his Shiashie residence on Tuesday, February 9, 2016.

Asiedu, armed with a catapult, a cutter and a knife, allegedly climbed into the MP’s bedroom and attacked him with the knife.
Another suspect, Vincent Bosso, reportedly assisted Asiedu to commit the act but fled after the security man alerted others in the neighbourhood.
Asiedu also escaped by descending from the top of the house and jumped over the electric fencing on the walls of the house into an adjoining house.
Starrfmonline reports that an Accra Central Magistrate Court has deferred the committal proceedings of the suspects to Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at their instance.
The accused persons were in the previous hearing, urged to contact legal services prior to today’s hearing, but that did not happen.
While court proceedings were ongoing, Asiedu requested for the services of a lawyer from the ICC, as the case was of a serious nature.
