NAM1 comes home Thursday, January 17, 2019 - Report

- The CEO of Menzgold, NAM1, is reportedly returning to Ghana Thursday, January 17, 2019

- The Ghana government is said to have reached an agreement with the Emirati authorities for his release

- NAM1 is also wanted by the Ghana police for charges of defrauding under false pretenses

Latest updates surrounding the embattled CEO of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah, has it that he is returning to Ghana today, Thursday, January 17, 2019.

According to a report seen by YEN.com.gh on Adomonline.com, the government delegation in Dubai have reached an agreement with the Emirati authorities for his release.

A high-powered government delegation went to Dubai to press for the extradition of Nana Appiah Mensah, also called NAM1.

The delegation included Deputy Attorney General, Joseph Dindiok Kpemka, a representative from the Economic Organised Crime Office (EOCO), the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) and National Security respectively.

This was after it emerged that, NAM1 had already been arrested in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) capital on December 7, 2018 after allegedly duping some partners in a gold deal gone wrong.

NAM1 was also declared wanted by INTERPOL for defrauding by false pretenses and an allegation of money laundering after his company failed to pay customers’ investments.

Aggrieved customers can now heave a sigh of relief since government has been able to strike a deal with the government of the UAE nation to bring NAM 1 to Ghana to face justice.

Meanwhile, armed policemen reportedly stormed the house of NAM1's mother in connection to her son's arrest in the UAE and other related issues.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported how NAM1 lived in a single room before his sudden rise to riches and fame.

We also published his plush gold mansion at Trassaco, and his many luxurious cars with some of them customised in the name of his wife, Rose Tetteh.

It has also been established that all four directors of Menzgold, including NAM1, were his close relatives.

They included his wife, one Benedicata Appiah, and Abigail Mensah, both younger sisters of NAM1.
