Chelsea finally agree 6-month loan deal with AC Milan star Higuain

- Chelsea have agreed a six-month loan deal for Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain

- The Argentine international has been a subject of speculation in recent weeks

- The arrival of the 31-year-old will pave way for Morata to join Atletico Madrid

Premier League giants Chelsea have agreed a six-month loan deal for AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain.

The Argentine international will join his former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge hoping to overturn the scoring challenges of the club.

Sarri has been looking for a striker with quality to solve his attacking problems and the Juventus loanee is note worthy to the Italian manager.

The 31-year-old striker enjoyed the best spell in his career in the Serie A scoring 36 goals in 35 matches in the 2015/16 season which earned him a £75million switch to Juventus.

However, after the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid made the Argentine was deemed surplus to requirements before making a loan move to the San Siro.

Higuain will have to prove the stuff he is made of in terms of goal scoring - where Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud have not been able to provide this season.

He will join the west London club on an initial six-month loan deal with the option of making the deal permanent at the end of the season.

Chelsea will also be able to extend the loan deal for another year as long as some certain targets are met in his contract.

Higuain was a second half substitute in AC Milan's Suppercoppa loss to Juventus in Saudi Arabia and his arrival at Chelsea will pave the way for Morata to join Atletico Madrid.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh had earlier reported that Chelsea target Gonzalo Higuain applied a hard tackle on AC Milan manager Gennaro Gattuso in a training session.

The Argentina international has been reportedly trailed by the Stamford Bridge outfit to replace misfiring Spanish striker Alvaro Morata.
