Renowned media personality, Kwasi Kyei Darkwah, also known as KKD, has weighed in on allegations of intimate misconduct that befall some men, after touching base on his similar situation four years after the incident.
In a write-up earlier this week, KKD bemoaned what he feels is society's forgetfulness or avoidance of the fact that some women make up some stories against men they have had relations with.
KKD expressed regret about how public opinion tore him up and wondered why some women will agree to sleep with a man on their own will and turn around to accuse him of rape.
His message was not directly addressed to embattled Ghana Bar Association (GBA) President, Anthony Forson. The lawyer is being accused of rape by a Ms Kukuwaa Andam, and a suit has been filed in the US.
In his write-up, KKD said women have many reasons for sleeping with men willingly; including the quest for power, money to meet their needs, hunger, fame, ticket etc.
He wrote: "Bevies of daughters of the absent, the careless, the indolent, even the rich and educated are on the prowl to lure, tickle, wiggle, blow and swallow for every kind of need or favour..."
He continued: "The beautiful, ugly, high, low, educated, illiterate, sophisticated and ignorant tell all kinds of lies when it suits them...
Plain, selfish, concocted, protracted, impish, rubbish, malicious lies that waste public funds, time and space."
He concluded that he hoped any and all sorts of accusations by women would be challenged and questioned.
In 2015, KKD was accused by one Ewureffe Orleans Thompson, then a 19-year-old, of rape. KKD denied any wrongdoing.
Eventually, the court had to dismiss the case because Thompson had refused to testify in public against the seasoned media presenter.
