- Jose Mourinho says Mesut Ozil needs to be handled properly at Arsenal for the team to get the best out of him

- He explained that the Gunners should not be hard on the German and at the same time, they should not be too soft

- There have been reports that Mesut Ozil could leave Arsenal for a move to France or Portugal

Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has given some explanation on how German football star Mesut Ozil should be treated at Premier League side Arsenal.

The former Real Madrid star has not been impressive for the Gunners this season in which there are reports that he could be on his way out of the club this month.

Mourinho has now sent information to Arsenal coach Unai Emery on how to treat Mesut Ozil for him to get the best out of the player.

The man known as the 'Special One' made this declaration while speaking with belN Sports stressing that he has rejected three jobs since he was sacked at Manchester United.

Mesut Ozil and Mourinho won La Liga together in 2012, but Unai Emery left his £350,000-a-week star on the bench for Arsenal’s win over Chelsea.

"I just feel Ozil is a player that needs both sides of it.

"If you are just sweet with him you lose his natural aggression because he’s not naturally very strong, physical in terms of aggression.

"If you are too strong with him and forget that he needs a little bit of care and love, you don’t find the right balance.

"So I don’t know if there is a physical problem or a confrontation of ideas with Unai. With me Ozil played magnificently well, maybe not with Unai.

"I don’t know what’s going on, whether he has physical problems or not. He signed a contract and decided to stay so that is not an issue,'' Mourinho explained.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh had reported how it was claimed that Arsenal manager Unai Emery wants German football star Mesut Ozil to leave the Premier League giants before the January transfer window closes.

The Gunners want to sell the former Real Madrid star so as to raise funds to bring in Barcelona star Denis Suarez to the Emirates stadium.

Mesut Ozil who is the Gunners' highest-paid player on around £350,000-per-week was left out of the team that lost against West Ham United and win over Chelsea.
